Our busy bee Vera has signed up for yet another project and this time it’s Godzilla: King of Monsters. It’s set to be released in 2019!

Godzilla: King of Monsters, which will be directed by Krampus’ Michael Dougherty from a script he wrote with Zach Shields, has added Vera Farmiga to its ensemble, according to Variety.

The actress, best-known to genre fans as paranormal investigator Lorraine Warren in the Conjuring films and Norma Bates on TV’s Bates Motel, will play the mother of the young King of Monsters heroine portrayed by Strangers Things’ Millie Bobby Brown, opposite King Kong’s Kyle Chandler as her father.

In addition, the trade reports that Ken Watanabe looks likely to reprise his role as Dr. Ishiro “Let them fight” Serizawa in the sequel, in which there will be plenty for the Big G to battle: His Toho co-stars Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah will appear as well. Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures will release King of Monsters March 22, 2019; the studios’ Kong: Skull Island stomps into theaters March 10.
